What Are Sugar Spikes?
What are Sugar Spikes? It's a sudden rise in blood sugar after meals.
This is very common in Pre-diabetes, Insulin resistance, and Diabetes.
Symptoms: * Sleepiness / heaviness after meals * Fatigue, mood swings, cravings * Blurred vision * Frequent urination / dry mouth * Blood sugar >180 mg/dL two hours after a meal
Repeated spikes increase the risk to nerves, eyes, kidneys, and heart.
What can you do? (Simple but effective)
* Eat fiber/protein first * Walk for 10–15 minutes after meals * Prioritize sleep + stress control * Avoid sweet drinks, packaged food * Start post-meal sugar tracking
Understanding the pattern is the first step. Change is only visible through tracking.
Sugar spikes mean a rapid rise after meals. Repeated spikes damage nerves, eyes, kidneys, and heart. Small habits and tracking can control it. Don’t guess… measure and act.
