Fatty Liver: Not Just About Fat Intake, It's Your Body's First Warning

Just For Hearts1 min read

Fatty liver is not a diagnosis but a metabolic state. This means fat is accumulating in the liver because it cannot process fat properly.

Fatty liver can occur even without Alcohol, due to insulin resistance (insulin not working properly). Because of this, body fat is diverted towards the liver.

For fat to accumulate in the liver, it's not necessary to consume excessive oil, ghee, or sugar. The real reason is often high calories + low muscle use.

That's why people with normal weight who say, “I don't eat sweets,” often come for check-ups with fatty liver.

In early fatty liver, ALT / AST (liver blood test reports) can be completely normal. This means a normal blood report ≠ a healthy liver.

Seeing Grade 1 fatty liver on Ultrasound is not liver damage but a functional overload.

At this stage, there is no fibrosis (stiffness) or inflammation (swelling), but the metabolism is heading in the wrong direction.

Therefore, fatty liver is not a liver disease but a problem with the entire body's energy handling.

As you read this, consider a small thought: What is the time gap between your dinner tonight and sleep?

Based on these small observations, we will be providing step-by-step guidance on our YouTube channel.

In tomorrow's post, we will discuss how to clinically identify who has a fatty liver 'problem' and who doesn't. Please share your questions, doubts, and experiences in the comments.
