Diwali Has Changed...
Diwali has changed, and that is natural.
Today, greetings reach us with just a click. Calls happen. Gifts arrive. Photos, reels, and stories are all shared.
All of this is part of the celebration.
But after witnessing people, relationships, illnesses, recovery, loss, and many phases of life closely over the years, one thing becomes clear:
We ultimately remember moments more than things.
Someone suddenly came to visit... One evening we all sat together... We laughed a lot over some conversations... We met on the occasion of some snacks... And unknowingly, a memory was created.
Digital connection keeps us linked.
But actual meetings give relationships a different closeness.
Perhaps on Diwali, instead of just exchanging greetings, some people prefer to meet in person, spend some time together, and live some moments putting the phone aside...
These too deserve equal space.
Because the celebration ends. The lamps, diyas, and lights slowly come down. Gifts get used up.
But some moments...
Become memories that stay with us for a long time.
Maybe that is why festivals are not just to be celebrated, they are to be lived.
This Diwali, let us cherish connection... and presence.
Wishing you all a heartfelt Happy Diwali.
