Restlessness at Rest

Just For Hearts1 min read

Restlessness at Rest… The body stops, but the mind keeps racing.

All day long, we are busy, managing work, responsibilities, people, everything.

But as soon as we sit quietly… Something starts stirring inside. Thoughts increase. Restlessness is felt. Heartbeat becomes audible.

1. Why does this happen? The mind isn't used to being calm because we never taught it. We only keep it busy, not calm.

2. Being busy and being calm are different. Being busy all day doesn't mean the mind is calm. It's just a distraction. Calmness is a different skill.

3. The paradox of control. We say, "I need to be calm now." The more we try to control, the more the mind resists. Because the mind needs understanding, not commands.

4. Why does the body respond? Inner restlessness sends a signal to the body. Heartbeat increases. Breathing changes. Sensation in the chest. The body doesn't lie; it gives a response.

5. So what to do? Don't try to be calm; start the process of becoming calm. • Focus on your breath. • Take a short walk. • Let thoughts come, and let them go. The mind doesn't need to be stopped; it needs to be made stable.

One thing is clear from experience: People give rest to their bodies but not their minds. That's why they get rest but not calmness.

"Restlessness at Rest is not a problem; it's a signal to teach the mind to be calm."

Have you ever felt this when sitting quietly? This experience is very common, but we don't talk about it. If you relate, like and share.
