How are your morning habits?
In previous posts, we discussed healthy morning habits. Today, here is a quick and comprehensive summary:
1. Wake up early and start energetically within minutes Waking up between 5 and 6 AM is beneficial for the brain and body. You get peace, natural light, and time for yourself.
2. Drink cold water after brushing your teeth This helps remove toxic substances accumulated overnight and improves digestion.
3. Stretching: at least 15 minutes It increases muscle flexibility, prepares you for exercise, and awakens the body.
4. Check Blood Pressure / Sugar levels (if necessary) Morning checks are important for heart patients, diabetics, and elderly people.
5. Don’t forget to take medicines on an empty stomach Timely intake of thyroid, BP, and diabetes medicines is essential.
6. Morning exercise (30 minutes) Choose walking, pranayama, Surya Namaskar according to your age, constitution, and preference.
7. Spend some time in sunlight Useful for Vitamin D, mood improvement, and natural body clock regulation.
8. Write a journal for 5 minutes Write gratitude feelings and daily goals. It promotes mental clarity.
9. Perform daily prayer or meditation It brings peace of mind, concentration, and spiritual connection.
10. Participate in household chores (to increase NEAT) Making the bed, washing dishes, light sweeping easily boosts vitality.
11. Make one healthy decision A simple pledge like “Today I will avoid sugar” or “Today I will not express anger” can bring change.
Can’t wake up early due to night shifts or late duties? Your body is adjusted to the shift timings. Just keep your habits consistent and consider the 2 hours after your shift as your “morning schedule” to start fresh.
