A Day in OPD, Ward, ICU...

Just For Hearts1 min read

All day in OPD, ward, ICU... Patients, relatives, their complaints, fears, questions... After listening to everything and stepping out, one thought always comes to mind: Why do people live life so rigidly?

When we travel, we are so different. Plans change, there are delays, disagreements happen, we get tired... Yet, we adjust, let go, and move forward. Because somewhere in our minds, we accept that this is a journey. Not everything will be in our hands.

But in life? Here, everything needs to be perfect. People should act according to our expectations. Situations need to be in control. What will happen tomorrow should be decided beforehand.

I think people forget one thing: we are all on a journey on this Earth. The only difference is that here, no one knows the destination.

As someone who works very closely with life and death, and also enjoys travel, I experience this daily.

If we look at life a little like travel, become a bit more accommodative, let go a little, understand a little... then stress will reduce, relationships will lighten.

Because no one knows what's around the next bend.

So, at least for today, stop being so rigid. Be a little more accommodative. Give a little space to people, situations, and even yourself.

Life is not a competition to win. And it's not about keeping everything in your control either.

Life is simply about walking with people, with moments, gently moving forward and living.
