World psoriasis day is an annual day specially dedicated to people with psoriasis. It is celebrated on 29thOctober every year. Aim of celebrating this day is raising awareness, building unity among psoriasis community, improving access to treatment and increasing understanding. It is an international event which gives international voice to around 125 million people with this condition around the world.
World psoriasis day was launched in 2004 by members and non members of psoriasis association around the world. This event is conducted by International Federation of Psoriasis Association. Member of IFPA meet on regular basis to discuss and solve psoriasis related issues.
What is Psoriasis?
It is a skin condition that causes skin redness and irritation. Most people with this condition have thick red skin with silver patches called as scales. This disease is very commonly seen in age between 15 to 35 years. It may pass through family. It may be sever in people who have weaker immune system.
