Hadapsar, 4th December 2013: There was an event held by Just for Hearts in an IT company for sleep management. The Speaker of the event was a clinical psychologist Dr. Sanjyot Deshpande and she was associated by our Dietitian Pooja Jadhav.
Sleeping properly for 6-8 hours is big task these days. Moreover these IT companies work according to shifts. So it is very difficult to maintain our routine. The topics which were covered in the event were importance of sleep, duration of sleep, how it affects physical and mental health.
As per our Speaker, it is necessary to sleep for at least 7-9 hours a day. Many people snore loudly after sleeping. Snoring is caused due to fat accumulation in your neck. This is mostly seen in alcoholic or obese people. If you snore loudly, snort, gasp, or make choking sounds while you sleep, or your partner notices that your breathing stops for short periods. It is known as sleep apnea. One can have a sleep chart or cover up their sleep in nap breaks.
A huge response was given by the employees of IT Company. It was a successful interactive session.
