There are ‘modifiable ‘ risk factors ( once you can change) and ‘non modifiable’ risk factors ( once that you can’t change). Modifiable risk factor includes smoking, high cholesterol levels, diabetes, overweight, physical inactivity, stress. Risk factors that you can’t change including increasing age, being male & having family history of heart disease. The good news is that you can reduce your overall risk of developing coronary heart disease by leading a healthy lifestyle.
