Vakrasana is a seated twist asana, which can be performed with alignment like spine erect and sitting on sitting bones, twist from the waist, not just shoulders and neck. The hand kept down should be only for support and not for leaning. To keep spine erect sit on the edge of pillow or blanket. Chest should be open up.
