Health talks are quite useful as they target a group of people with similar characteristics like age, working profession etc. Its is a great way to resolve various myths and queries. Now a day’s corporate world is very much interested in knowing the ways to keep themselves healthy at work place with healthy eating habits and lifestyle modification. Just for Hearts took an initiative to conduct a health talk in the office of a media company in Film City, New Delhi on 28th May. Diet consultant of Just for Hearts delivered a brief session on ‘Healthy eating habits for stressful work hours.’
The session was conducted by Mrs. Divya Sanglikar, practicing Dietitian. She focused on healthy eating habits,importance of exercise,ideal snacks to be carried along to the work place and many more. The session was attended by a group of 30-35 people .
It was an interactive session and the following queries were asked-
- Which oil is healthy for the heart?
- What should be the ideal dinner?
- What options a person can opt when home made food is not available?
- How many cups of tea and coffee is allowed in a day?
- How much sugar intake is safe in a day?
It was observed that people today are more interested in knowing the basic things that can be included in the diet to stay completely healthy. The questions were satisfactorily answered by the dietitian and certain doubts in the minds of the participants were also cleared. Such health awareness sessions are the need of time and sensitize the people about healthy lifestyle and prevention of diseases.
