7 Tips for dealing with menopause
Managing menopause is not easy for everyone. Some women suffer more due to the symptoms of menopause, such as fatigue, hot flashes, sleep disturbances, and memory issues. These occur as the changes in mental and physical state take place simultaneously. Here are some tips that can help women to stay healthy and happy as well as manage other works of everyday life.
1. Eat healthy and avoid fasting
During menopause, your metabolism decreases and you suffer from various health problems. Additionally, faulty lifestyle, unhealthy foods, and less physical exercise will increase your weight and make you more susceptible to different health problems. Instead of staying hungry for long durations, take some healthy snacks such as nuts and fruits in between. These can maintain your blood sugar stable and reduce mood swings.
2. Exercise regularly
Though exercise is essential for everyone, during menopause, women should do some regular exercises to make their heart and brain healthy. At this time, women undergo mood swings, weight gain, and look aged. Yoga is one of the best exercises for women having symptoms of menopause. Additionally, meditation and deep breathing help reduce the levels of cortisol, the stress hormone. When you experience a hot flash, deep breathing can help reduce its severity and heal it quickly. You can do walking or low-intensity cardio to stay fit.
3. Give some time for yourself
Live a routine life by scheduling some time for exercise, friends, and yourself. 4. Wear light clothes
As hot flashes are common during menopause, try to dress up in light clothes. Cotton is more advisable at this time as it is more breathable than other fabrics. Cotton absorbs moisture from your body and makes you feel comfortable when you experience a hot flash. Avoid polyester and woollen clothes as these hold in heat.
5. Stay hydrated
Hot flashes and night sweats are some uncomfortable conditions during menopause that make you dehydrated. Therefore, you need to drink eight to ten glasses of water a day to supply more fluids to your body. It balances your body temperature, maintains your skin hydration and does not let you look aged.
6. Make your relationship healthy

Sexual relationship is a vital thing to lead a healthy association with your intimacy. An unhealthy body and mind do not feel comfortable in maintaining sex and it can put your relationship at risk. So always try to discuss your problems in doing sex with your intimate and doctor.
