On the occasion of Mental Health Week which is celebrated from 6th to 12th October in India, many events take place to raise awareness on Mental Illness and ways to heal it. We celebrated Mental Health Week by educating people on the importance of practising Yoga & Meditation on a regular basis to deal with Mental illness. Here is why. 1- Yoga establishes the connection with your voice.   In the hustle and bustle of life, we often forget to spend time with ourselves. The Internet, TV, Catching up with friends, families, commuting and daily chores eat up the quality time of the day. Yoga helps your mind to find out a way from this pre-occupied state of mind, leaving a space to gain a new perspective on life which otherwise is not possible.   2- Yoga improves your relationship with others. People with broken and temporary relations are more prone to mental illnesses. But when you are more at peace, you invest in making meaningful relationships rather than just spending time with people. Yoga builds the mental strength which is required to face the conflicts and come up with a suitable solution for all than reacting with anger, jealousy and irritability.   3-Yoga changes the perspective. The Meditation is designed in a way that with the practice, we start reflecting on the positive side of the situation. Our wandering minds come with the terms of peace as time goes, leaving all worries behind. The de-cluttered and relaxed mind is the biggest asses of a healthy person. A regular practitioner of Yoga & Meditation can fight any type of conflict, come up with a rational solution and make his aura positive.
