On the occasion of the ‘World’s Stroke Day, ‘Just for Hearts’ successfully conducted a talk session on Stroke. The programme was held on 29th October 2014. The expert explained that a stroke is referred to as a cerebrovascular insult, or colloquially brain attack. It is the loss of the brain function due to the disturbance in the blood supply to the brain. It is a medical emergency and can cause permanent neurological damage or death. The expert also mentioned that the best way to help prevent a stroke is to eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly and avoid smoking and drinking alcohol. The employees of 70 to 80 attended the session and enjoyed the talk given by the experts. The programme was liked by all.
