people are not even aware that they are having adulterated milk. When we have a glass of milk in the morning we may consume many other things unknowingly as it may contain water, starch, detergent, glucose, formalin, soda, urea which ultimately leads to gastrointestinal problems, food poisoning, nausea, vomiting and many health hazards.

Among all these water is the most common adulterant, but problem is not only with its dilution but the major problem occurs when they use contaminated water which affects our health.

There are few easy tests where we can see whether the milk which we are consuming is fit for our health or not. You can use these easy tests periodically to ensure that the milk you are consuming is fit and safe.

Simple Test No. 1:

Put one drop of milk on polished vertical surface. If it flows slowly or if it stops then milk is safe to consume. But if it flows easily or immediately without traces then it is adulterated with water.

Simple Test No. 2:

Take a small amount of milk in a test tube and add 20ml of water to it and boil it. Let it cool at room temperature and 2 drops of iodine solution. If it turns blue then the milk is adulterated with soda and not safe to consume.

These 2 simple tests will definitely help to see whether the milk is safe to consume or not. Best way to avoid this adulteration is to buy it from renowned certified distributor or to buy milk which is packed in tetra packs which is safer to consume.
